I can't tell you how happy I am to be close to family and friends. I really missed all the times that we couldn't be together for holidays or just hang out.
For Easter we went to Redmond for the good ole family Easter. The best part of small towns is their holiday celebrations. You can always expect a great time.
On Saturday we went to the ball park for the annual egg hunt. It was lots of fun to be with family and enjoy Trevor's first Easter together.
Sunday we had our own egg hunt at the house. It was lots of fun to have Gretchen, Darryll, and kiddos over to share in the fun.

Cakes, Cakes, and more Cakes

I have always been interested in learned cake decorating. When we were little mom would always make us the best cakes. They were always different and always so much fun. Thanks mom! I want to learn so I can do this for our kids.
I talked my neighbor into taking the class with me at Michaels. We are having a blast. We are now in class 3 and learning flowers. It's lots of fun.. The next class will be Fondant. I can't wait. This is the class I have been wanting to learn forever.
Here are a few of the cakes that Sonja and I have made since we started our class.

Fun time with my Parents
I love living in Vegas, there is so many fun things to do with company. Mom and dad came out one weekend and we had tons of fun. Mom and dad just got back from their Disney Cruise, so mom and I did her scrapbook. The following evening we went downtown and went to the Bodies Exhibit. It was very interesting. I think we all enjoyed it.
Later that night we decided to go to Blue Man Group. The show was lots of fun. We sat in the second row back, so you had no idea what was going to happen or get splattered on you. Good thing they give you ponchos, Bill got splattered with a nice chuck of mashed banana..

Us in our ponchos waiting for the show to start..
Mom and I after the show with one of the Blue Men.
After the show we walked through the Venetian with mom and dad. It's such a beautiful Casino. We decided to go on a Gondola ride. It was a first for all of us. It was nice relaxing ride.
They say it's good luck to kiss under the bridges. We should be real lucky, there were like 10 bridges..

Valentine's Fun
We had a blast Valentine's weekend. Mel, Everette, and Trevor came out and spent the weekend with us. Friday evening my Neighbor Sheree came over and we decorated cookies. It was lots of fun to have some girly time and decorate cookies and chat
It's hard work making cookies, sometimes it make you a little crazy

Our finished projects.. YUMMY!!
Saturday evening Uncle Bill and Aunt G got to take Trevor to his first basketball game. UNVL was playing CSU Rams. Since Bill graduated from CSU we couldn't miss this opportunity to go and wear Green!! Go Rams. Trevor really seemed to like the game. He was dancing with the music and eating popcorn with Uncle Bill. The second half he was zonked out. I really was surprised that he was able to sleep with all the noise.
Go Rams!!
Trev had so much fun he fell asleep..
While we were at the game with Trevor Mommy and Daddy got to have some alone time without munchkin. They went to a nice dinner and went out on the town to enjoy their Valentine's and to Celebrate their 1st Anniversary..

Weekend Trip to the Cabin
A few weekends back Bill's co-worker let us stay at his cabin in Duck Creek. It was so amazing. There was so much snow when we got there and it kept going strong the whole weekend. I miss being in the snow when everything you see is white. It's one on the most beautiful things.
On Saturday we met our neighbors up at Brianhead and went skiing for the day. It was great fun. It was Mel's first time going.
We all had a blast hanging out and being with family. I love the special times that we get to share with each other. I love my family so much. They mean the world to me, I don't know where I would be without them. I love you guys!!

Pay It Forward
So--Here's how it works-the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment here, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Then come back, let me know you're going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! Remember that only the first 3 comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick!
